I read your letters everyday, just to keep the hint of us alive. But now the leaves are turning again. I can't recall the last look in your eyes. I don't want to keep spinning my wheels. So knock off the dust, kick loose the gears. I just want to keep moving on, moving through these years Each day I search for roads to lead me back home. But like the blind man I can't see, the path escapes me. I don't want to keep spinning my wheels. So knock off the dust, kick loose the gears. I just want to keep moving on, moving through these years.

Travelin' On 02:20
Well I take my time in leaving through the early morning light- I know the way. And there's a feeling in the air now as the year begins to turn and it won't stay. Oh and soon enough I'll be just like a bird upon a wing- I'll fly away. Go on home, I won't be there. Go on home, I won't be there. Go on home, I won't be there- I'm travelin' on Well the first thing you remember was a dreaming morning kiss upon your head. And each time is the last time, like a thousand times before- or so I said. Oh and soon enough I'll be just like a bird upon a wing, I'll fly away, fly away. Go on home, I won't be there. Go on home, I won't be there. Go on home, I won't be there- I'm traveling' on. My love tomorrow you'll be older. Old enough to wonder why. Wonder why. Go on home, I won't be there. Go on home, I won't be there. Go on home, I won't be there- I'm traveling' on.

Shifts 03:40
Blended and illustrated. A balance on the wires in my head. Soldiers and saviors? Or prophets and traitors? I wonder aloud to the lord, "Is it in me?" I wonder aloud alone. "Is it in me?" Attention post aster, this letter is time sensitive. I must connect to the place I was before. There's only one way out, there's only one way out. I wonder aloud to the lord, "Is it in me?" I wonder aloud alone. "Is it in me?" Notice how we're caught in the falling beams of our lives. That'll splinter and define how we wake up every morning. I wonder aloud to the lord, "Is it in me?" I wonder aloud alone. "Is it in me?"

Broken Locks 02:40
Ten years ago two rings upon two fingers. Now its ten years on, two keys, two different doors. And a month ago, sitting down to read a letter. From someone who said she didn't love you anymore. "In a sense, I know that I never loved you. And in a sense I never loved you, not the way you wanted me to. And I hope you'll get by, on your own dear. Cause you know I can't go on loving you." Its getting light but the porch light- its still burning. And the pots and pans are left from the night before. Sitting staring out the kitchen window. Just hanging on the words that won't let go. "In a sense, I know that I never loved you. And in a sense I never loved you, not the way you wanted me to. And I hope you'll get by, on your own dear. Cause you know I can't go on loving you."

New Orleans 02:55
Headed to New Orleans, got to find a way to live. Or at least die trying, til I've got nothing to give. If you see me crying, pack it up and pack me in. Cause we ain't ever going back again. Headed to New Orleans, got my wife, I got my kid. I can't believe I'm finally getting out this way again. And if you catch me crying don't you worry baby, its just that everything is so fucking amazing and We aint ever looking back again. I can't believe how the years go by in the blink of an eye. Headed to New Orleans, ain't no better place to die. Oh well it may sound sad to you, baby, its been a nice long life. And if you hear me crying, its only how the clock she spins. And we ain't ever coming back again. No we ain't every coming back again. Oh we ain't ever coming back again.

There's a stone in the river, being washed pure and clean. Roll it down to the ocean, roll it round til its free. Walking down through the high grass, and the year was at my back. I'm always looking for a reason to run. Felt that old familiar calling, and the day was lying down, So I turned my face away from the sun. There's a stone in the river, being washed pure and clean. Roll it down to the ocean, roll it round til its free. Always tried to live a good life, always turned the other cheek. Oh her hair was sweet as summer rain. So I was waiting in the morning, and the door was open wide- Well I never meant to cause her any pain, any pain. There's a stone in the river, being washed pure and clean. Roll it down to the ocean, roll it round til its free. There's a name unrecorded, there's a voice forever gone. Though it sings through the ages, I'm still haunted by the song. Cause there's a stone in the river, being washed pure and clean. Roll it down to the ocean, roll it round til its free.

Heroes Die 03:01
Yesterday I went out walking, I was thinking, stacking up these stupid things I tend to do. My lovely, can you forgive e for what I do to you? I went out drinking, whiskey stinking, gets a little crazy when I'm living old times with the boys. God help me, I can't let go, so let's make some noise. This train is leaving in the morning. And I'll be gone and we'll be torn. We'll be torn. Today I face reality, it comes so quick I'm choking on this crushing new epiphany. That time it ebbs and time it flows but not for me. I thought I was the center focus hero in this story that unfolds itself so bittersweet But heroes die and so shall we. Tomorrow brings another win, another fail, another heartbreak, one more thing that matters none. Another trip around the sun. Looking back the only thing I have in all this world that matters, only thing I care to do Is spend all of my time with you. Cause heroes die and we will too. Yeah heroes die and we will too.

Burro Shoe 03:01
I read the markings of this land. Touched by wind and promised hand. In one moment I see my life, my life laid at my feet. From my desert nightingale to you, comes this well worn burro shoe. Hang it high on the wall, its working days are over. So from my desert nightingale to you, comes this well worn burro shoe Hang it high for now I offer it up to dream and to sigh, to dream and to sigh. Solid foot and steady hand, leading on to higher ground. Oh my brother you call me, this beauty takes my path away from you. From my desert nightingale to you, comes this well worn burro shoe. Hang it high on the wall, its working days are over. So from my desert nightingale to you, comes this well worn burro shoe Hang it high for now I offer it up to dream and to sigh, to dream and to sigh.

As the words, they escape me. New ideas, they evade me. Its easy to give up, to negate these silly musings. But I won't, cause they haunt me. What can I do? What can I say? That hasn't been done, hasn't been said, hasn't been thrown away? Looking at you, what can I say? All you beauty strikes me but it comes out so cliche. What can I do, what can I say? I doesn't matter anyway. Its all been said a better way. So my love, please forgive me. I'm trying to be what you are needing, but we're seeing nothing new, its disappointing. What can I do? What should I say, that hasn't been done, hasn't been said, hasn't been thrown away? I'm looking at you, and I know I can't stay. Cause these picture's colors run like rivers far away. What can I do, what can I say, it doesn't matter anyway. I still love you today. Don't give up, I still need you.

Momma's Ring 02:10
Sun is rising in the east, and I ain't even been asleep. And I guess I missed your call. But the night's been chasing me, and it won't let me be. And I swear, I'm coming home to you. I've been all over this town, standing up and falling down. And you know I ain't been true. But I gave you my momma's ring, And you say it don't mean a thing. But I swear, I'm coming home to you. I aint' exactly done you right. Raising hell, up half the night. But I ain't exactly done you wrong. You won't hear a word I say, but I still love you anyway. And I swear, I'm coming home to you. Yes, I swear, I'm coming home to you.

Jenny Lee 03:32
Dear Jenny Lee, Its been a long time, but I can still make out your face. Its been quite hard. I need a true sign. And its these things that get me through. So I just sing to you sincerely. Sincerely, Me Dear Jenny Lee, Do you remember the time we ran off to the beach? I touched your hair and then you saw me. Its these things that give me peace. So I just sing to you sincerely. Sincerely, Me Don't you cry. Cause I'll be by your side. Before the sun sets and bring that endless night. You will be my bride. Oh Jenny Lee. Dear Jenny Lee, I hope I don't die. I get so scared I hate this place. So I just sing to you sincerely. Sincerely, Me Don't you cry. Cause I'll be by your side. Before the sun sets and bring that endless night. You will be my bride. Oh Jenny Lee.

Dust 03:51
Need to make some changes, but its hard. Its been so long, we've come so far. There's about a thousand moving parts. But just one lonely aching heart. And I need you to brave the fire and see this through. When I let go will you be there? To lift me up again. Can't believe it all comes down to this. Simple truth we can't dismiss. The same old lies we can't resist. Hello, goodbye, in just one kiss. And I need you to brave the fire and see this through. When I let go will you be there? To pick me up again. When the dust it settles down. Who will put me in the ground? When there's no one left around Will these felled trees make a sound?
